This Privacy Policy describes how Apna Shadi Hall ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you use our website and related services. We operate a platform that connects customers with marriage halls. We are not the owner or operator of the halls you see listed; those venues are offered by independent hall owners or their authorised representatives.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the platform, we may collect:
- Account details when you register or update your profile: name, email address, and a password (stored in secure hashed form).
- Booking details when you reserve a hall: event date, shift, guest count, selected optional packages (such as bridal room, stage decoration, catering menu), linked facilities where applicable, calculated prices, booking status, hold and confirmation times, and your user account association with the booking.
- Hall listing content that verified hall management enters in the application, such as hall name, description, address, capacity, pricing, shift times, images and gallery photos, packages, catering menus, and facilities.
- Information we collect when onboarding hall partners after a physical verification visit, as described in our Terms and Conditions, to the extent we record it in connection with creating hall management access and listings.
- Payment-related information: advance payments for bookings are processed by SafePay (hosted checkout). We store booking payment fields such as gateway name, payment status, references, timestamps, and related metadata our system receives from SafePay (for example in payment records attached to the booking). Card numbers and full card details are handled by SafePay, not stored by us for that purpose.
- Technical information incidentally logged in the normal course of running a web application (for example IP address or request details in server or application logs) for security and troubleshooting.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Operate the platform: accounts, hall listings, explore and booking flows, and payment status for reservations.
- Onboard and verify hall partners and reduce fraudulent listings, in line with our Terms and Conditions.
- Communicate with you where the application sends messages related to your account or bookings (for example features you enable in the software).
- Meet legal requirements and respond to lawful requests where they apply.
4. Sharing of information
We may share information with:
- The relevant hall when you place a booking tied to that hall, so they can see and manage the reservation.
- SafePay when you choose to pay the advance: they receive the data needed to complete that payment on their systems.
- Hosting or infrastructure providers that host or serve the website, who process data only as needed to run the service.
- Authorities when required by applicable law.
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal, tax, and accounting requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Retention periods can vary by data type.
6. Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and to contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.
7. Your choices
You can review and update certain account information through your profile in the application where that feature is available. For other requests about personal information we hold (such as access or correction), contact us using the details in the "Contact" section below.

Payment checkout is provided by SafePay; their handling of payment data is governed by their terms and privacy policy. Halls listed on the platform are independent of us; any information you share with a hall directly is subject to that hall’s practices.

The platform is intended for adults arranging event venues. It is not directed at children. If you believe we have collected personal information from a minor inappropriately, please contact us.
